“Let It Go” – Wizzy ft Steffani Milan
A fortuitous encounter with DJ P Montana during an Afro Nation Listening Party was the start of a friendship between Steffani Milan and W1zzy “the French Boy”. “Let It Go” was born very shortly after that first meeting, between a few glasses of Hennessy (brought by W1zzy), a lot of smiles and some random dancing steps.
The Rest is history. “Let It Go” is the meeting of two kindred spirits, Openly proud of both their cultures and determined to bring something fresh to the Afrobeats and Reggaeton cultures. The chemistry when they first meet was immediate and is clear in the vibration of the track. The words are a mixture of Pidgin, French Slang and Spanish words that explore the need to surrender to love or letting it go. Either way, Love Always Wins.
No doubt the music written by the incredibly talented Shola was waiting for two equally skilful musicians. Once Steffani had no doubts about the beat, Wizzy set about working and a bright and addictive melody came to Steff’s mind and after a few minutes it was on tape.
