At On Da Beat we focus on creative development and tangible industry exposure for ethnically diverse music professionals and our work takes place at and is documented at local (Wandsworth Art Fringe, South Thames College, BBC London), national (Financial Times, Island Records) and international level (CNM-FR, Innercat Music Group, Bogotá Music Market).

The role of independents like ODB is vital to the UK’s world-beating music industry, representing a growing part of the market, providing important local jobs and offering an alternative avenue for artists looking to develop a career in music. Our role as an independent music organisation is to invest at grassroots level to support artists and music industry execs achieve as much success as possible, at local, national and international level. Each studio project we engage in advantages multiple beneficiaries, develops income and helps build a professional network.
The Vision of the Founders:
In 2017 ODB started developing talent from the kitchen of a small flat, our founding mission was: to encourage entrepreneurship, create Excellence, create financial independence & to inspire and educate. ODB has incubated over 30 audio engineers, producers, beatmakers, artists & music execs, some amassing millions of streams and impacting the music industry in the UK through roles in areas such as radio & audio production.

After reaching notable benchmarks as a production house for UK Rap and as a stable for the global development of the Drill scene, In 2018 ODB started managing their first artist. Not content with being resigned to one genre ODB have branched out connecting the Latin and Afrobeats Scenes in London with the rest of the Diaspora. The competitive edge of the UK music industry lies within the diversity of our population and communities. In order to maintain a status as the second biggest exporter of recorded music in the world we need to celebrate our collective heritages and tap into our roots to continue to find opportunities for global growth and expansion.
Social Impact
In addition to audio production and talent development ODB also have a duty to be involved in the communities that are connected to the music and cultures that are part of our teams whether it be at a local or international areas of cause and concern. Our social impact and outreach mirror or Local, National and International mindset and by partnering with like minded companies, organisations and people we can have an impact that builds a legacy beyond borders and generations and empowers our whole industry, but particularly independent SME businesses such as ours with the ability to grow the next generation of talent and support local jobs.
