‘Intenso’ is the fiery new single from reggaeton artist Valenciz. The track pays homage to the old-school reggaeton Valenciz grew up listening to and is fused with some classic 2000s – vibes — it’s all about bringing the sound of the club to your ears. Both addictive and entrancing, ‘Intenso’ will have you dancing, moving your hips and getting low wherever you find yourself this summer.

‘Intenso’ is the Colombian vocalist’s second release of 2020 — ‘Se Solto’ was released in early April. Valenciz describes ‘Intenso’ as a journey, reconnecting to the sounds he was producing at the start of his career. Valenciz and producer SJ The Tailor created the track in one day, bouncing off each other’s energy and vibes in the studio.

The visuals have a heartwarming storyline. It begins with a young boy listening to his favourite reggaeton music on his Walkman. The next track he chooses is ‘Intenso’ and then the scene switches to Valenciz in the club, having a great time and vibing to old-school reggaeton. In the video and in real life, Valenciz is living out his dreams and reflecting on his early love for reggaeton. Parts of the video were shot at the iconic ‘La Podera Cholera,’ the oldest Latin club in London. The club holds a significance for Valenciz and including it in his video is a way for him to pay homage to the UK’s Latin scene.

The next few months are set to be big for Valenciz as he navigates the music scene post-lockdown. He has an EP in the works, in collaboration with SJ The Tailor, which is set to be released this year. In everything he releases, Valenciz brings a passion for his music, a passion for his culture and an unmistakable charisma.
